Anaconda Features
BED
Single
piece "MEEHANITE" bed casting rests on the floor over
it's entire length for maximum rigidity. After proper stress
relieving the bedways are induction heat treated to HRC50 and
ground. |
HEADSTOCK and SPINDLE
1.) Heavily
ribbed and thick wall casting provides the rigity required for
deep cuts.
2.) High quality tool steel is used for the gears, spline shafts
and are hardened and ground to JIS class.
3.) The spindle is supported by high precision taper roller bearings.
High torque and wide 18 spindle speed range is provided by single
speed main motor.
4.) Electro-magnetic brake and forced lubrication are standard. |
 GEARBOX
1.) Gears
are hardended and ground to RC-45.
2.) A wide range of feeds as wells as Inch, Metric, Module and
Diametric Pitch threads can be cut by simply changing the levers.
3.) Forced lubrication and built-in safety clutch safeguard and
protects the universal gearbox. |
TAILSTOCK
1.) The
tailstock quill is hardened to RC-45 and ground.
2.) It is fitted with a 2-speed feed as well as a hand crank
for convenient displacement on the bed. |
CARRIAGE and APRON
 1.) Heavily ribbed castings
are made of MEEHANITE for maximum rigidity.
2.) The cross slideways are hardened are and ground to HB480.
3.) The saddle slideways are covered with TURCITE B to reduce
friction.
4.) The cross-slide has a ballscrew.
5.) The gears in the apron are nitrited.
6.) An independent lubricating system provides automatic lubrication
to the bedways and cross-slide. |
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
 1.) The electrical enclosure
is sealed and the disconnect switch has a door interlock.
2.) The wiring connections such as power supply, control and
ground are separated.
3.) Low (24v) control voltage is used for added security.
4.) All terminal blocks are shielded for added protection.
5.) The power supply is fused. The star-Delta start main motor
and all other motors are protected by adequate overloads. |
DOUBLE-STOCK
As an
option on machines with 6" and 9" spindle bore, a second
chuck can be added to support long work pieces |
